Buccellati, officially expands into China with the opening of its very first boutique at Plaza 66 in Shanghai. To celebrate the start of a new chapter, Buccellati hosted a grand opening ceremony followed by a gala dinner, in the presence of Buccellati family members, Mr Andrea Buccellati and Ms. Maria Cristina Buccellati, international actress Zhang Ziyi,and influential Chinese fashion blogger Gogoboi. Launching with the theme of Timeless Beauty, the celebrations began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony presided over by Honorary President and Creative Director of the Buccellati Group, Mr. Andrea Buccellati, Chairman and President of Gangtai Group, Mr. Xu Jiangang, together with actress Zhang Ziyi.
“All of our jewellery pieces are delicately handcrafted using traditional gold-smithing techniques that date back to the Italian Renaissance. They are renowned for their signature engravings and intricate detail. We are excited to introduce our One-of-a-Kind creations to China and look forward to the new journey that awaits us,” said Mr. Buccellati.
Later in the evening, more than a hundred guests walked down the red carpet to attend the gala dinner held at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. Venetian art kaleidoscope patterns were projected onto the ceiling of the historic landmark, paying tribute to the brand’s rich traditions and Renaissance heritage. Nearly a hundred high jewellery pieces were also exhibited at the venue for this special occasion. Models were seen elegantly posing in Buccellati’s One of a Kind Collection, while guests were entertained by an enthralling dance showcase featuring dancers twirling gracefully in Buccellati’s exquisite high jewellery pieces. One of the highlights of the night was the announcement of Zhang Ziyi as Buccellati’s newest brand ambassador. The elegant fashion icon stole the spotlight and impressed the crowd with her stunning appearance wearing an amazing white and yellow gold diamond set from Buccellati’s Unica jewellery collection.
